2026 is here, and The Farm at Prophetstown invites you to come experience farm life in the 1920s at historic Prophetstown. We may be only a few miles from Interstate 65, but once you turn into our drive, you will be transported to a working 1920s farm where the forest meets the prairie on the banks of the Wabash.

Educational opportunities await visitors of all ages such as Planting Seeds with Children and Homesteaders Day. Exciting activities abound such as two 5K runs and the Vintage 1864 Baseball Game. New this year, we’re celebrating The Farm Centennial. When The Farm was platted, 1926 was chosen as the year we aim to represent. Join us this fall to explore 100 years of agricultural progress and help carry The Farm’s mission into the next century. We hope 2026 will be a fun-filled year with new memories and experiences for all at The Farm.

Coming soon, we are offering food science classes in our certified kitchen. Did you know The Farm at Prophetstown has food for purchase for hundreds of guests at most of us our events? People in the 1920s may have been able to accomplish that with Dutch ovens and wood stoves, but the basement of The Gibson Farmhouse is equipped with a state of the art commercial kitchen for our 2020s patrons. Be on the look out for offerings in mozzarella making and chocolate craftsmanship throughout the winter.

Like today, holidays were a cherished time for 1920s families—a welcome reprieve from constant labor and a chance to enjoy friendship and togetherness. The Farm is honoring these traditions this year with an Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July Cookout, Trick-or-Treating, Christmas on The Farm, and more. Bring Mom out on Mother’s Day for our Mother’s Day Tea Party. Throw a ball and have a burger with Dad at our Father’s Day Lunch. You won’t want to miss experiencing holidays in the 1920s.

Wouldn’t it be neat to eat at one of those old thresher dinners…Endless helpings of meatloaf, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and all the timeless Hoosier fixings? The Farm at Prophetstown brings the thresher meal to life with a gourmet experience in our 1920s Farmhouse. Our goal is to provide 1920s fare with an exquisite twist. We use our own home-grown pork and beef as well as our produce grown in our gardens and orchards. Our Farm to Table Dinners are five-course meals served by our Farm staff and open to anyone 21 or over. We hope to serve you some time in 2026.

A new year brings fresh excitement and new opportunities. We hope you’ll take time to visit and experience The Farm at Prophetstown in 2026—where history comes alive and traditions are meant to be shared.
