The Farm at Prophetstown is the perfect setting to celebrate the art of homesteading and animal husbandry—just as things were done on a 1920s farm. Join us for Purdue Homesteaders Day as we partner with Purdue University to offer a variety of informative classes and hands-on experiences all about sustainable farming practices and rural life.

- Classes on homesteading and animal husbandry led by Purdue & Farm experts. Topics may include:
- Beekeeping 🐝
- Raising chickens 🐔
- Growing heirloom apples 🍏
- Blacksmith basics 🔨
- Horse care 🐴
- Raising beef cattle 🐄
- And more!
- Food for sale from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, so you can enjoy delicious farm-fresh meals between classes
- A chance to connect with Purdue faculty, local farmers, and fellow homesteading enthusiasts
- FREE entry with park admission, and some classes may have a small fee
