Forge new skills by learning the essential elements of blacksmithing. Join us in our Blacksmith Shop where stewardship and tradition meet innovation. In this event, you will learn how our blacksmith uses our traditional coal-fired forge, gain hammer and anvil knowledge, and get perspectives about the overall history and importance of blacksmithing on a 1920s farm.
Step back in time and learn about the vital role of a blacksmith on a 1920s farm. Discover the daily tasks and skills required of a blacksmith, and watch a live demonstration by our Master Blacksmith, Robert Werberig.
