Successes of 2009
- The corn maze has been popular again this year.
- We were lucky to have a beatiful weekend for the Country Fair.
- We found Jessica and Mark Deimer-Eaton, actually they found us. Visitors at Historic Prophetstown have learned about Native American lifeways in the woodland village.
- People love our all natural burgers, smoked sausage and brats. In fact, they loved the pork burgers so much we have run out.
- We have filled all available space with a fine crop of hay.
- We look forward to filling the crib with corn very soon.
- School teachers are calling the office scheduling field trips.
- The draft horse workshops have been filled with people from all over the country.
- Students at Ivy Tech Community College are taking advantage of classes offered in conjunction with Historic Prophetstown.
- Purdue Extension has offered horse clinics in conjunction with Historic Prophetstown
- We look forward to Halloween weekend with a re-enactment of Spur’s Defeat and encampment and an 1800s trick or treat. Come join the fun!
